Stent-Graft Treatment of Iatrogenic Vertebral Artery Pseudoaneurysm and Arteriovenous Fistula

چکیده
Very rare incidence of vertebral artery pseudoaneurysm as a complication caused by central venous catheterization has been reported. The treatment strategy is dependent on location, anatomic structure and coexisting vascular injuries. The Stent-graft placement was performed in a 69-year-old woman who underwent Hemo-Cath® insertion for emergent hemodialysis complicated with right vertebral artery pseudoaneurysm and arteriovenous fistula (AVF)

Endovascular Stent-Graft Treatment of a Traumatic Vertebral Artery Pseudoaneurysm and Vertebrojugular Fistula
An endovascular intervention is a feasible alternative to the technically challenging conventional surgery for the treatment of traumatic vertebral arterial lesions. This report describes a rare case involving a 22-year-old patient with a traumatic vertebral arterial pseudoaneurysm and multiple arteriovenous fistulas which were successfully sealed using the endovascular stent-graft technique.
متن کاملHybrid stent-graft repair of an iatrogenic complex proximal right common carotid artery injury.
BACKGROUND Iatrogenic carotid trauma requires early diagnosis and adequate treatment. Classic open repair may be technically challenging if trauma is in base of the neck. We present a case of an iatrogenic carotid pseudoaneurysm treated with endovascular repair. METHODS An 87-year-old woman presented with a pulsatile neck mass 10 days after coronary artery bypass graft surgery. A computed tom...
متن کاملEndovascular stent graft for post-traumatic superficial femoral artery pseudoaneurysms with arteriovenous fistula: 6 months follow-up of 2 cases.
Pseudoaneurysms are common vascular abnormalities due to disruption of the vessel wall. Pseudoaneurysm with arteriovenous fistula is a rare presentation. Complications associated with them develop unpredictably and carry a high mortality rate. Traditionally pseudoaneurysms have been treated surgically. However, with the advent of new interventional techniques, management using endovascular appr...
متن کاملStent grafting resolved brachial plexus neuropathy due to cervical arteriovenous fistula.
We report a rare case of an iatrogenic vertebrovenous fistula presenting with a brachial plexus neuropathy and a cervical bruit. This arteriovenous fistula (AVF) was successfully occluded by implanting a stent graft into the right vertebral artery. After the stenting, the cervical bruit ceased and the radiculopathy slowly improved. This case highlights the usefulness of such new devices as cove...
متن کاملClot injection for treatment of iatrogenic femoral arteriovenous fistula after percutaneous coronary intervention: a novel minimally invasive method
Iatrogenic arteriovenous fistula (AVF) is usually caused by inappropriate blood vessel cannulation during diagnostic and interventional procedures [1–3]. Arteriovenous fistulas occur in 1.0–1.5% of cases following procedures with femoral access (FA) [1, 4, 5]. Iatrogenic fistulas are unintentional connections between an artery and a vein due to the needle being advanced too deeply and reaching ...
